Released into the world of winemaking in 1999 after seven years teaching physical education, Tim McNeil has already worked alongside the likes of Mark Barry to help carve out the iconic Jim Barry “Armagh” Shiraz and also their highly regarded Watervale Riesling. In 2005 a new challenge beckoned with an opportunity to work with Kevin Mitchell at Kilikanoon and to also start creating the first Tim McNeil Wines.

Matured for 30 months in small oak barrels. Opaque black dark purple colour with very deep black purple hue. The nose displays aromas of dark plums and black cherries followed by a touch of liquorice, some cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate delivers rich voluptuous flavours of ripe dark plums, blackberry and liquorice followed by some dark chocolate and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with a lush fleshy mouthfeel. Long dark plum, ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and spice aftertaste.
Drink this fleshy offering over the next 4-5 years (2016-2017)
