$17. 99
Bottle
$215.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 4 Years (2011-2015)
ABV: 14.5%
Closure: Screw Cap

The kind of keenly priced, voluptuous Shiraz that made the Barossa Valley world famous.

Maturation took place in a combination of 40% new American and French hogsheads with the balance going into second and third fill barrels for a period of 14-16 months.

Outstanding, saturated, black purple colour with black purple hue showing excellent glass cling. The nose displays top notes of liquorice followed by ripe blackberry, confectionary and a hint of blackpepper as an end note. Decadently rich and full bodied, the palate offers joosy, mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberry, black plum, liquorice and dark chocolate followed by some spicy back palate flavours. Voluptuous texture with very fine grained tannins. Long, opulent aftertaste of ripe blackberry, black plum, chocolate bullets and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015).
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews....
Strong crimson-purple; the rich, complex dark fruits of the bouquet expand on the medium- to full-bodied palate into a savoury, spicy array of plum, blackberry and dark chocolate flavours. Open-fermented and spends 14 months in oak; has a marvellous show record over the past 10 years.
