2009 Springton Hills Wine Koop Creek Reserve Shiraz

Aged in French and American oak for two and half years. Totally opaque black purple colour with deep dark purple hue. Pronounced aromas of liquorice and ripe blackberry are followed by dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice showing excellent intensity. Rich and opulent with a plush sumptuous mouthfeel the palate delivers a very generous flavour profile of liquorice, dark chocolate and ripe blackberries followed by some vanillin oak and spice on the back palate. Velvet smooth yet solid tannin structure well concealed beneath the wealth of fruit. Excellent length with long liquorice, dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
