2009 Spinifex Bete Noire Shiraz

The fruit for this wine was sourced from a selection of 20 to 95 year old Shiraz vineyards predominately from higher parts of the Barossa Valley with a small component also coming from the Eden Valley.
Opaque black dark purple colour with deep dark purple hue. Perfumed aromas of blackberry, violet infusions, dark chocolate, liquorice and spice. The palate boasts a voluptuous velvet smooth texture with opulent and totally mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and liquorice followed by some smoky characters with spice and pepper on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent concentration and depth with long aftertaste of dark chocolate, liquorice, smokey oak and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years. (2015-2016).
