2009 Smith & Hooper Merlot

Near opaque deep dark crimson red dark purple colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of mulberry, cedar, tobacco and spice. Medium bodied the palate delivers generous dark mulberry flavours infused with tobacco like characters followed by some spicy cedar on the back palate. Dry finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark mulberry, tobacco, spicy cedar and earth.
Cellar 2-3 years (2014-2015).
