2009 Seresin Leah Pinot Noir

Matured for 11 months in French oak barriques of which 25% were new the wine shows a semi translucent dark crimson red colour with a translucent dark red hue. Very perfumed the nose offers up aromas of ripe dark cherries, dark plum and anise followed by some subtle toasty cedar and spice. Light to medium weight the palate possesses generous supplely textured flavours of dark cherries, dark plum and anise over a background of spicy cedar. Velvet smooth tannins. Quite spicy on the finish with good power wave and long spicy dark cherry, anise and cedar aftertaste.
