2009 Salomon Estate Finniss River Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with very dark crimson red hue. The nose displays liquoricey aniseed top notes followed by some blackberry, vanillin confectionary and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses rich liquorice and aniseed flavours intermixed with ripe blackberry followed by some vanilla, confectionary, light toasty oak and spice. Solid but fine grained tannin structure. Long liquorice, blackberry, toasty vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
