2009 S. C. Pannell Touriga Tempranillo

Totally opaque black dark purple crimson red colour with deep dark purple crimson hue. The nose presents an aromatic profile of black cherry and black plum followed by some liquorice and meaty earth like characters. Full bodied and possessing good structural qualities the palate delivers a rich ripe flavour profile of black cherry, black plum and liquorice followed by some meaty earth like back palate characters and a touch of spice. A solid firm tannin structure gives the wine a leathery almost chalky like mouthfeel. Aftertaste of black cherry, liquorice, dried meats and earthy spice.
Cellar 5-6 years (2017-2018).
