2009 S. C. Pannell Grenache

Produced from 67 year old dry grown bush vines and aged in French oak puncheons for 18 months.

Near opaque, deep, dark red purple colour with deep, dark crimson red hue. Aromas of dark raspberry, plum juice and confectionary followed by a hint of spice. The palate displays impressive weight with ripe, opulent flavours of dark plum and raspberry followed by a touch of liquorice and a spicy back palate. Fine grained, slightly dryish tannins. Excellent concentration and length with long aftertaste of black cherry, dark plum, liquorice and spice.
