2009 Pulenta Wines La Flor Malbec

Aged in French oak for 6 months this Mendoza Malbec displays an opaque deep dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose exhibits aromas of dark cherries and blackcurrant followed by some spice with a meaty earth like overlay. On the palate generous ripe black cherry and blackberry flavours are to the fore with a spicy overlay and meaty back palate. Fine grained, slightly dryish but balanced tannins. Good length with medium to long aftertaste of black cherry, meaty earth and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2014-2015).
