Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Langi Shiraz is intensely scented of ripe blackberries, mulberries and peppered meat with hints of Indian spices and fertile loam. Medium to full-bodied, it is elegantly fruited with ripe, expressive blackberry and exotic spice flavors, marked by crisp acid and a firm level of rounded tannins, finishing long. Approachable now, it should cellar gracefully to 2021+.

Outstanding vivid crimson-purple; the perfumed bouquet is exquisite, with red and black fruits in a swathe of violets and rose petals, then a supremely elegant and intense palate, the finish exceptionally long. Clearly should have won the Jimmy Watson trophy ’10.
