Opaque black dark purple colour with deep dark red purple hue. The nose displays scents of dark plum and ripe blackberry followed by a touch of liquorice with some pepper and spice end notes. Matured for approximately 14 months in French oak of which 25% was new. Medium to full bodied the palate is filled with ripe dark plum and blackpepper flavours with some liquorice and blackpepper following on and the blackpepper making a re-appearance on the back palate. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Long liquorice, ripe dark plum and blackpepper aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Bright crimson; a fragrant bouquet encompasses spice, plum, black cherry and blackberry aromas that flow through to the medium-bodied palate, there picking up quality oak, and finishing with polished tannins. Great bargain. Drink By: 2029
