2009 Moss Wood Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir

Dark deep crimson red colour with dark red mauve hue. Matured for approximately 12 months in French oak barriques of 50% were new. The nose is very perfumed with violet top notes followed by some black cherries, dark plum, earthy cedar and spice. Medium weight the palate possesses a strong power wave with mouthfilling flavours of dark ripe cherry, black plum and a touch of liquorice followed by a touch of toasty cedar and a spicy back palate. Velvet smooth tannin structure.Excellent depth with long ripe dark cherry, black plum, liquorice and spice aftertaste.
