2009 Maxwell Lime Cave Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 24 months in French oak this Cabernet displays a totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark red hue. On the nose there are aromas of very ripe, almost overripe, blackcurrant, dark ripe mulberry, a touch of prune and spicy cedar. Very ripe, rich and full bodied the palate delivers bold flavours of ripe blackcurrant, some dried prune like characters, dark mulberry and spicy cedar. Fine grained but firmly structured tannins with long aftertaste of dark cherry, ripe dark mulberry, dried prunes and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015).
