2009 Massena The Moonlight Run

The Moonlight Run is a blend of 54% Grenache, 24% Shiraz, 16% Mataro and 6% Cinsaut with the average age of the vines being 90 years. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with aromas of ripe dark raspberry, black plum, dark chocolate and liquorice followed by a hint of spice. Well endowed the palate is filled with rich opulent black raspberry, blackberry, dark plum and chocolate bullet flavours. Very soft velvet smooth tannins. Excellent depth and concentration with long aftertaste of dark raspberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015).
