2009 Main Divide Pinot Noir

This Pinot Noir was matured in French oak for 18 months of which 20% was new. Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with dark red hue. The nose offers up scents of dark cherries, plum, cedar and spice. Light to medium weight the palate has elegant spicy black cherry flavours followed by some meaty earth like characters with the spiciness persisting onto the back palate. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries and meaty earth. A very spicy Pinot Noir.
