A classically styled Gewurztraminer that is a result of two separate harvests: The first crop came from low yielding, five year old vines that ripened early and were subsequently wild fermented in old French barriques. The second pick was from a small amount of slow-ripening fruit, a quantity of which had shriveled and was botrytis effected, so providing added complexity and concentration to the fnished wine.

Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. The nose displays good lift with exotic aromas of lychee, musk, tropical fruit and spice. Outstanding concentration with luscious, rich, mouthflling flavours of lychee, honeysuckle, tropical fruits, spice and a hint of musk. Excellent length. Slightly broad with a soft round, almost creamy like texture. Long aftertaste of honeysuckle, lychee and spice. While this is a superb example of an Alsace inspired Gewurztraminer, we encourage immediate drinking while the acidity is holding up. It will broaden out and become 'flabby' over the next 12 - 18 months. Try with Asian foods.
