This wine was matured for 18 months in a combination of new and seasoned American, French, Russian and Hungarian oak hogsheads.

2009 was a brilliant vintage in the Barossa, with ideal ripening conditions and low yields producing fruit of great quality.

Opaque black purple colour with deep dark purple hue showing good glass cling. Lifted aromas of ripe blackberry and dark plum followed by some dark chocolate and liquorice allsorts notes. Full bodied the palate displays ripe generous mouthfilling flavours of blackberry, dark plum and spice with some liquorice allsorts and blackpepper characters on the back palate. Excellent length. Fine grained tannin structure with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice bullets and blackpepper. A great value Barossa Shiraz that combines concentration, power and structure.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2014-2015)
