2009 Kaesler The Bogan Shiraz

Sourced from Kaesler’s vineyards planted in 1899 and 1965 with maturation taking place in a combination of American and French oak for 15 months. Impenetrable inky black purple colour with very deep dark purple black hue. The nose displays aromas of black cherry and plum followed by some liquorice ,vanillin confectionary and spicy cedar. Full bodied with super rich almost decadent flavours of ripe blackberry and liquorice are followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. Velvet smooth tannins and voluptuous mouthfeel. Long blackberry, black cherry, liquorice, vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
Drink this flamboyant effort over the next 4-5 years.
