2009 K1 By Geoff Hardy Silver Label Cabernet Tempranillo

Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark red hue. Blackcurrant and dark cherry scents are to the fore with some underlying liquorice, cedar and spicy notes. The palate possesses ripe dark fruit flavours of blackcurrant and dark cherry in a generous fashion followed by a touch of liquorice and some spicy cedar back palate characters. Solidly constructed with slightly firmish but fine grained tannins that lend excellent support to the fruit. Medium to long blackcurrant, liquorice, spicy cedar and earth aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.

First tasted 10/11/2011: Opaque black crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays fully ripened blackcurrant top notes followed by some dark cherry, ripe mulberry, cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied ripe blackcurrant and cedar characters are to the fore followed by some mulberry with a spicy back palate. Slightly dryish chewy tannins but in balance. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2014-2015).
