2009 Jim Barry The Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2009 Cover Drive is produced solely from Coonawarra fruit and was aged in a combination of 50% American and 50% French oak for a period of 12 months. Opaque deep dark crimson red black colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays top notes of blackcurrant, cedar and mulberry followed by a hint of mint as an end note. Medium to full bodied and possessing a good level of richness the palate delivers flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry and cedar with a tobacco like overlay. Fine grained tannins. Good depth with aftertaste of ripe mulberry, spicy cedar and tobacco.
Cellar 3-4 years (2014-2015).
