A skilfully constructed Margaret River Cabernet that delivers exceptional value.

Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon the fruit for this wine is sourced from several select vineyard sites located around the township of Cowaramup in the Wilyabrup sub region in an endeavour to capture ripe fruit flavours yet retain the distinctive perfume of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon. All the individual vineyard blocks that contribute to the Miamup Cabernet Sauvignon are vinified separately. After fermentation on skins the malolactic is conducted in tank prior to barrel maturation in French tonnellerie’s barriques for 18 months.
From the outstanding 2009 vintage Howard Park have produced a very stylish and beautifully textured Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon at a price point that makes it one of the districts top buys.

Opaque black crimson colour with dark crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of blackcurrant and ripe dark mulberry are to the fore followed by some cedar, tobacco and spice notes showing excellent intensity. Medium to full bodied the palate is almost fleshy like in texture delivering mouthfilling flavours of blackcurrant and dark ripe mulberry with some underlying cedary tobacco like characters and spice on the back palate. Velvet smooth perfectly integrated tannin structure. Excellent depth with long blackcurrant, mulberry, tobacco and spicy cedar aftertaste.
