2009 Hollick Wilgha Coonawarra Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in new, predominately French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep very dark red hue. The nose is quite perfumed with aromas of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and liquorice present followed by some mocha and vanillin oak. Bold and richly concentrated the palate delivers a sumptuous flavour experience of ripe dark blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolates over a background of vanillin mocha oak and spice. Plush and deep with velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and spicy toasty vanillin oak.
