2009 Hollick Tempranillo

The fruit for this Tempranillo is sourced from Hollick’s Wrattonbully vineyard which has a slightly warmer climate than Coonawarra and is well suited to the variety. Maturation took place in French oak for 18 months. Opaque deep dark red colour with dark red hue. The nose displays good lift with aromas of dark cherries, spice and liquorice followed by some earthy leather like end notes. Medium bodied the palate delivers a generous flavour profile of dark cherry, spice, leather and earth. Good length. Dry finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherry, leather and spice.
Cellar 2-3 years. (2014-2015)
