A very spicy, peppery blend of 75% Shiraz and 25% Grenache from Ben Glaetzer that was matured for 14 months in 2-3 year old oak, of which 70% was French and 30% American.

Opaque, black crimson red colour, with very deep, dark crimson red hue. Youthful aromas of blackberry, raspberry and plum followed by some confectionary and spice end notes. Full bodied palate with generous ripe inky blackberry, raspberry and dark plum flavours, followed by some spice and persistent blackpepper back palate flavours. Excellent structure, more so than the 2008 which was a fleshier more opulently textured wine. Fine grained, slightly dryish but balanced tannins with long aftertaste of blackberry, black raspberry and blackpepper.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014)
Alc 14.5%
