2009 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Villages

Semi translucent bright crimson purple colour with crimson purple hue showing excellent depth for a Beaujolais-Villages. The nose displays youthful aromas of inky cherry and raspberry followed by a touch of spice. The palate is youthful but displays more weight and richness than one would normally associate with a Beaujolais-Villages, no doubt a testament of the outstanding 2009 vintage. Lighter bodied the palate displays flavours of cherry, spice and delicate raspberry. Fine grained, slightly dryish but balanced tannins with aftertaste of cherry, raspberry and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013).
