2009 Geoff Merrill Reserve Chardonnay

Matured for 8 months in French oak 62% of the fruit for this wine was sourced from McLaren Vale with the balance coming from Coonawarra. Deep straw colour with golden edges and pale straw hue. The nose displays ripe peach notes intermixed with honeycomb followed by some spicy oak, cashew and a hint of light butterscotch. Rich creamy textured flavours of ripe peach, honeycomb, light butterscotch and spicy toasted oak. Clean dry finish with soft acidity. Medium to long honeycomb, peach and light butterscotch aftertaste.
