A blend of 52% Grenache, 45% Syrah and 3% Mourvedre with the fruit being sourced from vines with an average age of 35 years. Aged for 18 months in oak foudres. Very deep opaque dark crimson red black colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose exhibits lifted scents of black raspberry, liquorice and some incense with a leathery earth like overlay and some spice end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses generous flavours of black raspberry, dark cherry and a touch of liquorice and spice with a leathery back palate. Slightly firmish but fine grained tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of black cherry, a touch of dried meats, leather and spice.
