2009 Domaine Derey Freres Marsannay Les Champs Perdrix

Translucent bright crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose displays lifted scents of both sour and dark cherries with some underlying gamey cedar and spice notes. Light to medium weight but very flavoursome the palate delivers dark and sour cherry flavours followed by some earthy meaty game like characters and spice. Very good depth with very fine grained almost velvet like tannins. Dry finish with medium to long aftertaste of dark and sour cherry, meaty game, earth and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
