2009 Domaine Charvin Cotes du Rhone Le Poutet

Deep dark crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose displays perfumed notes of violets, dark raspberry, earthy spice and some dried meat characters. Medium to full bodied the palate delivers flavours of black cherries, spice and dark raspberry followed by some earthy meat like characters on the back palate. Fine grained, dryish but balanced tannin structure giving the wine a slightly chewy texture. Medium to long aftertaste of black cherry, liquorice, spice and dried meat.
Cellar 3-4 years (2014-2015).
