2009 Dog Point Vineyard Pinot Noir

Matured for18 months in new and older French oak. Semi translucent bright crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. Lifted aromas of dark cherry, spice and plum with the slightest hint of anise as an end note. Medium weight the palate displays spicy flavours of dark cherry and plum followed by some anise and cedar overtones. Dry finish. Very fine grained well integrated tannins. Good power wave with long aftertaste of spicy dark cherry, anise and cedar. Slightly drier and more savoury than most other New Zealand Pinots.
Cellar 2-3 years (2013-2014).
