The name of this wine has many wine lovers perplexed. Its origins date back from the earliest European settlement of Marlborough, where sheep were first introduced to the district. There were few fences and the sheep were rounded up by the 'boundary keeping dogs'. The story goes that some of these boundary dogs turned feral and inhabited a hill which became known as 'Dog Point'.

A first class Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Bright pale straw colour with water like hue. Lifted herbaceous grassy top note followed by unripe gooseberry, a hint of capsicum and spice. The palate delivers outstanding concentration of flavour with gooseberry, some grassy herbaceous characters, unripe passionfruit and citrus followed by mineral and a hint of cedar emerging on the back palate. Clean crisp acid finish. Mouthfilling texture. Excellent length with very long aftertaste of ripe gooseberry, passionfruit and mineral.
Drink over the next 2 years.
