2009 d'Arenberg The Custodian Grenache

Matured for 12 months in French and American oak barriques. Deep dark red black colour with dark red hue. The nose reveals scents of dark raspberry and a touch of liquorice followed by some earth and spice. Very spicy the palate has flavours of liquorice and earth intermixed with some dark raspberry. Dry spicy finish with slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark raspberry, liquorice and earth.
Cellar 4-5 years.
