2009 Cullen Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

A blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot with maturation taking place in French oak barrels for 12 months, 42% of which were new. Very deep dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays an aromatic profile of mulberry, some bay leaf, cedary tobacco and spice. The palate possesses none of the green characteristics seen in previous vintages with flavours of mulberry, dark cherry, cedary tobacco and spice.Medium weight with a light elegant mouthfeel.Dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of mulberry, cedary tobacco and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2016-2017).
