2009 Craggy Range Calvert Vineyard Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak barriques (35% new) for a period of 10 months. Deep dark crimson red colour showing excellent depth with a crimson red hue. The nose is very perfumed with scents of dark cherries, violet infusions and dark plum to the fore followed by some anise and spicy cedar. Possessing impressive weight and richness the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of black cherry, dark plum, anise and some light toasty cedar with a spicy back palate. Excellent power wave. Velvet smooth tannins with long black cherry, dark plum, anise and spice aftertaste.
