2009 Clayfield Massif Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with deep black crimson hue. The nose displays top notes of blackpepper followed by some dark plum, liquorice and spice. Full bodied the palate’s dark fruit profile is counter pointed against a spicy blackpepper component. Flavours of blackberry, liquorice and spice with a very peppery overlay and back palate. Fine grained tannins. Good length with long aftertaste of liquorice, dried meat and blackpepper.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
