2009 Chapel Hill Il Vescovo Sangiovese

Deep dark crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose exhibits aromas of dark cherry, spice and plum followed by some cedar end notes. Medium weight and very spicy the palate displays flavours of dark cherry, cedar and earth followed by a persistent spicy character on the back palate. Slightly dry, chalky tannins with aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and earth.
Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013).
