2009 Castellare di Castellina Chianti Classico

A very savoury Chianti Classico.
Very deep dark crimson red colour with crimson red mauve hue. The nose displays lovely perfumed aromas of dark cherries, spice and incense followed by some earthy cedar and light leather end notes. Light to medium weight and very flavoursome the palate exhibits dark cherry and spice with a light earthy overlay followed by some leathery characters on the back palate. Dry finish but with very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherries, spice and earthy leather.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015).
