Bowen Estate is owned and run by Doug Bowen and his family. The Estate consists of 33 hectares of vines planted on the prized Coonawarra Terra Rossa soils. Established in 1972, the first vintage in 1975 was greeted with considerable enthusiasm.

Aged in French and Russian oak barriques for 22 months. Totally opaque, black dark crimson red colour with deep, dark crimson red black hue. The nose displays excellent perfumed lift with aromas of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, cedar and spice. Full bodied, the palate delivers a rich, fully ripened Cabernet flavour profile of blackcurrant and liquorice followed by some cedar cigar box like characters and spice. Fine grained, but well structured tannins. Excellent length with long blackcurrant, liquorice and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2016-2017)
Alc 14.5%
