2009 Bellvale The Quercus Vineyard Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a tinge of black around the edges and light brick red hue. Perfumed aromas of dark cherries, a hint of anise and game arise from the glass with some underlying earthiness and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight with a softly textured, supple mouthfeel the palate presents flavours of dark cherries intermixed with a touch of anise followed by some gaminess, earth, cedar and spice. Dryish finish with velvet smooth tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of dark cherries, game, earth, cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
