Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with deep very dark crimson red hue. Perfumed nose with scents of blackcurrant, a touch of violet, liquorice, cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses superb richness with generous flavours of perfectly ripened blackcurrant, liquorice and some dark chocolate supported by cedar and spice. The tannins are slightly dryish and firmly structured providing excellent balance to the volumes of fruit. Superb depth with long ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, cedar and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews…..
Similar crimson-purple to the standard; has a fragrant bouquet, with blackcurrant, cassis and mulberry fruit; the medium-bodied palate is elegant, and infinitely better balanced than the standard wine, the tannins fine, the cedary oak in balance, the finish long and harmonious.
