Aged for 12 months in predominately French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant and dark chocolate emerge from the glass followed by some liquorice and cedary vanillin oak. The palate delivers flavours of ripe blackcurrant, black plum and dark chocolate followed by some vanillin cedar. Dryish finish with solid but finely built tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum, cedar and spice.
