2009 Akarua Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark crimson red mauve colour with mauve crimson hue. The nose displays spicy dark cherry and plum aromas followed by some light smoky cedar overtones. Medium bodied the palate possesses good concentration with flavours of dark cherry, spicy anise and dark plum with a light toasty cedar overlay. Excellent power wave. Fine grained balanced tannins with aftertaste of dark cherry, dark plum and some spicy meat like characters.
Cellar 2-3 years (2013-2014).
