2008 Yarra Yering Dry Red Wine No. 2

The No. 2 is a Shiraz Viognier blend. Deep dark red colour with deep dark red (verging on brick red) mauve hue. Aromas of black plum, liquorice and blackpepper followed by an exotic smoky and dried apricot end note. Medium to full bodied palate weight displaying mouthfilling flavours of dark plum, blackberry, liquorice and spice followed by some smoky blackpepper characters on the back palate. Good texture with very fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of blackberry, plum, smoky oak and blackpepper.
