2008 Woodstock The Stocks Single Vineyard Shiraz

Matured in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months, winemakers Scott Collett & Ben Glaetzer have fashioned a voluptuous ‘Stocks’ Shiraz reflective of the warm 2008 vintage.

Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep black dark red hue. The nose displays lifted scents of dark plums, dark chocolate, mocha and vanilla followed by some confectionary end notes showing excellent intensity. Loaded with exuberant ripe fruit and a voluptuous texture the palate delivers very concentrated flavours of black plum, dark chocolate, liquorice, ripe blackberry, mocha and vanilla. Velvet smooth tannins give the wine a round soft mouthfeel. Long aftertaste of dark chocolate, mocha and vanillin oak.
