2008 Woodstock Shiraz

The fruit for this opulent Shiraz is sourced from the Estates vineyards planted in 1972 and 1974 with maturation taking place in 2 to 3 year old seasoned American oak for 18 months.

A very soft, chocolately, well rounded McLaren Vale Shiraz
Opaque, black dark crimson red colour with very deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays lifted notes of mocha, dark chocolate bullets and vanilla with some spice end notes. Generous palate weight with a round, plush texture. The wine displays flavours of mocha, vanilla, dark chocolate and confectionary with a hint of spice making an appearance on the back palate. Soft, velvet smooth tannin structure with aftertaste of mocha, vanilla and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2010-2014)
