Each vintage Woodlands dedicate their Cabernet to a family member or friend. The 2008 vintage is named ‘Shelley Anne’ after their cellar door manger. A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc this Bordeaux styled blend was matured in new French oak for 21 months. 2008 was a hot and dry vintage in Margaret River. Severe winds at flowering drastically reduced the crop levels to the lowest yet recorded - under 1 tonne per acre.

Named “Wine of the Year” in Ray Jordan’s 2011 Guide to WA Wines.

Opaque, deep, dark crimson red colour with crimson red hue. The nose displays fragrant scents of mulberry, blackcurrant and cedar as top notes followed by some cigar box, bay leaf and spice. The palate is very refined and elegant in structure. Medium bodied with flavours of mulberry, cedar and dark cherry followed by some underlying tobacco and vanillin oak. Super fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of mulberry, spice, cedar and cigar box.
