2008 Water Wheel Petit Verdot

Deep crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose displays jammy aromas of plum jam, raisin cake and confectionary. The palate displays enormous weight and great concentration but like nose has some jammy overtones. Flavours of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and spice with white pepper back palate flavours that persist through to the aftertaste. Quite firm dry tannin structure but in balance to the enormous levels of fruit. A very rich ripe example of Petit Verdot.
