Ranked alongside Moss Wood & Cullen’s Diana Madeline as one of Margaret Rivers most highly regarded Cabernets, the 2008 vintage of Heytesbury has been produced from a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot and 10% Malbec. Maturation took place in a combination of 74% new and 26% 1-3 year old French oak for a period of 18 months.

Opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose presents a classic perfumed Bordeaux like sniff with top notes of mulberry, bay leaf and violets followed by some cigar box, cedar and spice. The palate displays a regal elegance whilst also possessing fabulous richness and intensity. Outstanding depth with mouthfilling flavours of mulberry, blackcurrant and some tobacco overtones followed by some cedary cigar box characters and spice. Fine grained but firmish tannins provide the wine with excellent structure. Exceptionally long aftertaste of mulberry, tobacco, cedar, cigar box and spice.
Cellar 5-8 years (2016-2019).
