Cellar: 3 - 4 Years (2019-2020)

Totally impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Intense liquorice, black cherry liqueur and dark chocolate scents overlay vanillin oak and spice. As anticipated this is a heavy hitter boasting enormous concentration and richness. Decadent flavours of liquorice, blackberry liqueur, black plum and dark chocolate saturate the palate followed by spicy toasty vanillin oak. There’s some heat on the finish. Velvety tannins. Very powerful and long with a conclusion of liquorice, blackberry liqueur, black plum, toasty vanillin oak and spice. A monster of a wine.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc 16.4%

Other Reviews....
Rich and supple, brimming with complex coffee, tobacco and dusky spice-accented ripe blueberry, dark plum and sloe flavors, hinting at juniper and bay leaf on the finish. Long and generous, this has miles to go, tempting as it is to drink now. Drink now through 2020. 500 cases made.
